at Marunouchi, I fell asleep and then now I got up(笑) to
eat supper... ( I know this isn't good for my health... )
I think I was very tired as this week
I had many events with my friends and colleagues...
While eating, I found the existence of non profit
consulting through the article posted at one of the blog
I recently found conincidentely...
Astonishingly, the below consulting grounp has a linkage
with the established consulting firm called Bain&Campany
...
"the Bridgespan group"
http://www.bridgespan.org/Default.aspx
Though I knew there's a non profit consluting field in
the U.S such as Mckinzey supporing ashoka once Bill
Drayton strated up that non profit organization,
I was surprized that there're some non profit consulting
firms in the U.S... While reading through the info provided
at the above web site, I was thinking why those firms
can survive and absorbe many super sophisticated people like
MBAs from the prestigeous business schools such as HBA,
Stanford, Wharton, etc...
I thought, like Kogure-san( from Table for Two ) mentioned in his book, this is because there's a non profit organization
market recognized generally in public in the U.S, then
the well educated and experiecend people jump into such
organizations. And also, what there's such market in the U.S
means that there are jobs that are well-paid, even though
they'll not reach the highest level like investment
banking or management consulting firms..., thought that
benefit aspect for individuals seeking such jobs seem
lower priority than their mission at the non profit
consulting firms... It was true that Kiyotaka Fujii-san
mentioned in his book, that there are so many MBA graduates
going to non profit sector to give their contribution
and impact for the world... This is great...
Like the articles compliled in "change maker" written by
Nana Watanabe-san, there're many orgnizations that
are managed by the talented people like Ashoka, Acumen
Fund, but not all of them have such people... then
there's a need for utilizing the short-term or long-term
extra talented resources from non profit consulting firms.
That's what I thought when I encountered the existence
of non profit consulting...
I guess someday such consulting firms will bring
social impact in Japan too, as social enterprises
increase.
thanks and best regards,
kenji.
